The fall and rise..

Luke 22: 31-32
And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: but I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Satan wants to have God's children so that he can use them against Him. That is why he try's by all means to tempt us and to weaken our faith because he wants us to shift away from God's path. What he is forgetting is that "if God is with us, then no one can be against us" and that we have the Lord Jesus Christ on our side. Even though we might be sifted as wheat by Satan but Jesus is assuring us that he has prayed for us so that our faith will not fail.

What's interesting is that sometimes we have to fall into and rise out of Satan's trap in order for our fellow brothers and sisters to learn from our mistakes. Jesus knew that apostle Peter was also going to go through the same situation and that is why he said "when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren".  So we shouldn't concentrate too much on our faluires but we should concentrate on how we are going to rise up . (Proverbs 24:14)
