John 8: 4-5 they say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
The scripture talks about a time when the scribes and Pharisees brought to the Lord Jesus Christ a woman who was found guilty of committing adultery. What I find interesting about this scene is that they thought they were already done with the woman through publicly humiliating her and now their next victim was Jesus Christ because their intension was to tempt and accuse Him. What they didn’t know was that the Son of God is capable of turning their stones into the woman’s second chance because that day was her day of receiving mercy instead of destruction. Jesus Christ gave her a second chance.
Sometimes we view our hardship as our fall and yet we forget that the Lord has a reason for us to go through what we are going through. When Satan asked Jesus to turn stones into bread he knew that Jesus was capable of doing anything. Even today the Son of God is capable of turning what is supposed to put you on the ground into what raises you from the ground. You might have done mistakes in your past and it might seem like everything is going wrong, well today I say to you Jesus Christ is the only solution for you. Through Jesus Christ those stones that are hitting you hard can be the very same stepping stones that are taking you higher.
