Tarry not..

2 Kings 9: 3
then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not

Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets and sent him to Ramoth-gilead to anoint a new king for Israel king Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat. Elisha's instruction to the child in short was "pour oil on his head, tell him God's massage, flee and Tarry not". In other words do what you are sent to do and flee before you delay and loose sight. Even though he was just a piece of the bigger picture however without him there would be no picture at all. The child did as he was instructed and the battle against Jezebel the queen of witchcraft was won.

How often do you loose sight of what God wants you to do? Maybe because of you loosing sight of God's purpose there is delay in the process of the Enemy being defeated. In God's kingdom everyone has a part to play. It doesn't matter how small you might think you are God has a purpose for you. When King Jesus Christ called His disciples to follow Him even they didn't believe in themselves but He said "follow me" because He knew that God had a purpose for them and they could only discover it through His leadership. Remember instead of being full of pride He humbled himself.
