My quote for the youth as we get into youth month.

My quote for the youth as we get into youth month.

Never attempt to start a business only because you’ve just resigned. Start as early as possible so that by the time you resign you already have the experience that is needed in your field.

Deuteronomy 8:18

But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

Christ the Author…

Christ the Author…

Hebrew 12:2

looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

So if Christ is the author and finisher of our faith it is evident that there is a testimony that is being written about the conduct of our faith (Heb.12:1). Everyday marks a chance for us to change every bad chapter that we have in our lives into a positive and Christ like chapter (2 Pet. 3:9). Through Christ the Son, God took the initiative to give us an opportunity to be restored and now the decision lies with us to make the most of that chance.

Revelation 20:12

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Whether it is good or bad God has the power to use your character for His purpose.

Whether it is good or bad God has the power to use your character for His purpose.

-If you are the type of person who has the character of bringing other people down, God has the power to use you for His purpose to lift those whom you have put down.

Joseph’s brothers (Gen.50:20)/ Pharaoh (Exo.9:12) / Judas (Mat.26:21) etc .

-If you are the type of person who has the character of faith, God has the power to use you for His purpose of directing His people.

Joseph (Gen.41:37-43)/Abraham (Gen.17:5)/Paul (Act 22.) etc.

-If you are the type of a person who has the courageous character, God has the power to use you for His purpose to save His people.

David (1 Sam 17.)/ Samson (Judg.16:30)/ Gideon (Judg.6:12) etc.

Almost everyone’s character that I can recall from the bible was used by God to fulfil His purpose. What kind of a character are you? And which purpose do you think God is using your character for?

Only God has the power to sustain everything

Deuteronomy 26:5-6

And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot. Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I am the LORD your God.

Only God has the power to sustain everything. And take note sustaining (ukugcinwa) has nothing to do with being rich or poor but has everything to do with perseverance. God proved Himself as God to the children of Israel by showing them that they can be sustained without anything that comes from men but with everything that comes from God.

God is omnipotent and all-sufficient and is able to sustain us without any of our assistance. (Uyakugcina uNkulunkulu ulokhu ungenzanga lutho ngoba ukugcinwa akusho ukuthi kumele ubenengcebo kodwa kusho ukuvuswa malanga onke abanye abangaphili). I want to tell you today that even a Hobo of Hobos is sustained by God because if it weren’t for Him they wouldn’t even exist.

Mathew 6:31-32

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things

We are constantly in a war field.

As Christians we shouldn’t fall asleep (1 Thess. 5:5-6) however we should always be geared up with the whole armour of God (Ephis.6:11) because we are constantly in a war field. Listen if you don’t think so just ask yourself why we are facing physical diseases, mental diseases, moral impurity, false doctrines etc on a daily basis?

Physical Diseases

Jesus cast a demon out of a dumb man who immediately began to speak (Matt. 9:32, 33). On another occasion, a blind man began to see when the demon went out of him (Matt. 12:22). Job was afflicted physically with boils covering his body, the result of satanic activity (Job 2:1-10).

Mental Disease

One man lived among tombs, a practice considered unclean during this time, and created a disturbance day and night (Mark 5:4, 5). A young boy possessed with a demon involuntarily went into an apparent convulsion when he encountered the presence of Jesus (Luke 9:37-42).

Moral Impurity

One of the reasons God wanted the Israelites in a separate land was that the heathen nations had given themselves over to unclean spirits and had become: corrupted (Lev. 18; Deut. 18).

False Doctrine

Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons. (1 Timothy 4:1)

Eph. 6:12.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places

Let us put on the whole armour of God.

He or She takes after curses…

There are those demons that we entertain daily just because we think that it's nothing serious but we take after our parents or grandparents or because it runs in our families.

Ezekiel 18:19-20

Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live. The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

I want to say to you today we need to break those chains! Be it sicknesses or tendencies but we need to break those chains in the name of the Almighty Son of God Jesus Christ of Nazareth. If we keep God's statutes and do what is right in His eyes we have the authority to ask for life from Him who gives us life. The life that is within His only begotten Son; the life that breaks all chains that are surrounding previous and current generations. In Christ we can do all things.

Proverbs 26:2

As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, So the curse causeless shall not come.

God is the Master of our lvies...

If you’ve ever been a Master of Ceremony you’d know that in the middle of your programme people who aren’t part of the programme will come ask you to say a few words because they reckon they know whoever has the ceremony. Even though they get a chance to say or do whatever they’d like to but they finish and you’d get back to the programme.

Listen God is the Master of our everyday lives and even though the devil reckons he knows you and wants to be part of your life programme he does get his two minutes of fame BUT then the programme goes back to its Master. All I am saying is that “hang on because your life isn’t finished until God says it is finished.”

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
