God teaches us that reconciliation has nothing to do with who did what wrong or right.

Philippians 2:7-8

but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

 

What a lesson! God did not only humble His only begotten Son Jesus Christ before us and for us but He too humbled himself. Even though we were and still are the transgressors but because of His love He chooses to make a way for us to reconcile with Him regardless. Often it is hard for us humans to make an effort to reconcile with those who have hurt us however if we want to adopt a Christ like mind (Philippians 2:5) this is one of the most important lessons that we need to learn.

 

Colossians 1:19-22

For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell: and, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight.

Umngane uthanda ngezikhathi zonke, nomzalwane uzalwa ekuhluphekeni

 

Yebo igama ungalamukela ebumnandini kanjalo nodumo kanye nobusonto ungabamukela ebumnandini kodwa akwenzeki ukuthi ubuzalwane ubamukele kumnandi.

 

Ngiyaye ngithi uma ngibheka emuva empilweni yami ngikhumbule izikhathi ezazinzima engake ngabhekana nazo nezangifundisa ukuthi ubheka kuJesu Kristu hhayi ebunzimeni nasebantwini bese ngibone ubukhulu bukaJehova nokuzalwa kwami ekukholweni yiNkosi uJesu Kristu. Uma uJesu Kristu ethi ku-Mathewu 11:28  “Zanini kimi nina nonke enikhatheleyo nenisindwayo, mina ngizakuniphumuza” nginesiqiniseko nobufakazi bokuthi wayengakhulumi into engekho.

 

UNkulunkulu wayekhona ekuqaleni (Gen.1:1) futhi noma umuntu ezama eyakhe imizamo usuke ekhona. Okuthokozisayo ngoNkulunkulu ukuthi unesineke sokukumela wenze ngeyakho indlela ngoba azi kahle ukuthi uzokhathala. Futhi noma usukhathele akasivali esakhe isandla kodwa uthi “woza nobunzima bakho” bese ulungisiswa ngoba yilapho ozalwa khona nalapho owamukela khona igama elisha (Isaya 62:2). Ngigcwala amandla uma ngizwa izindaba zamadodana kaThixo oShadiraki, noMeshaki, no-Abedi Nego (Dan. 3) oDavide (1 Sam.23:9-29) oDaniyeli (Dan 6.16) kanye nabanye abaningi ngoba ngazi ukuthi labazalwane bazalwa enhluphekweni.

Marku 5:6-8

Wathi ukuba ambone uJesu esekude, wagijima, wakhuleka kuye; wayesememeza ngezwi elikhulu, ethi: “Nginamsebenzi muni nawe Jesu, Ndodana kaNkulunkulu oPhezukonke? Ngikufungisa uNkulunkulu, ungangihluphi. Ngokuba wathi kuye: “Phuma kulo muntu, moya ongcolileyo”.

 

Kumele sikhumbule ukuthi umuntu ungumfanekiso kaNkulunkulu (Gen.1:27). Okuveza ngokusobala ukuthi nembala buyafuneka ubudlelwano phakathi komuntu noNkulunkulu. Inkinga akusiye umuntu kodwa izinto eziphethe umuntu.. Ungizwe kahle izwi liveza ukuthi kukhona indoda eyayihlala emathuneni eyayizilamaza ubusuku nemini kodwa mhla ibona uJesu Kristu yagijimela kuye ngoba ngaphakathi kwayo yayazi ukuthi ayidalelwanga lempilo eyayiphila kodwa inkinga eyayibhekene nayo ilamademoni ayeyibusa.

 

Bheka ke uma lendoda seyikuJesu Kristu akukhulumi yona kodwa kukhuluma lamademoni ayo athi “Nginamsebenzi muni nawe Jesu, Ndodana kaNkulunkulu oPhezukonke?”. Ngithi mina nanamhlanje uma izwi leNkosi uJesu Kristu lifika kithi kulwa ububi bethu kuqala thina singakasho lutho. Lapho oshumayelayo ethi “kumele uthethelele” bese kuvuka amagqubu kuwe athi “angeke ngimthethelele lomuntu owangenza kanjena”; noma ethi oshumayelayo “uJesu ungamanzi okuphila akukho okunye ukuphuza ekumele sikuphuze ngaphandle kukaJesu” kuvuke ukoma kumuntu kuthi “angeke ngihlukane nezinye iziphuzo uyadlala lomuntu”. Buningi ububi kanti zinengi nezono zethu thina abantu khumbula izwi lithi asibambene nenyama negazi (Efes. 6:12) okukhomba khona ukuthi impi esilwanayo ekamoya.

 

Sihlobo sami ilwa namademoni abhekene nawe nobubi bakho bonke ngezwi leNdodana (Heber.4:12).

Let the cup pass according to His will.

Matthew 26:39

And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

 

My main focus for today from our Lord’s Prayer at gethsemane is the contents of the cup that he was referring to when he prayed at that moment in time. You must bear in mind that it wouldn’t have made sense that He would ask for an empty cup to be passed not as He will’s, but as God wills. So the cup wasn’t what mattered most but its contents were more significant.

 

You must remember that Jesus Christ had to endure pain, suffering, affliction, disgrace, grief etc. just so that we as God’s people can be saved. Now whatever the Lord endured was what the cup consisted of. We all have our own cups that need to pass in our own lives. Maybe your cup is full of pride, hate, grudges, jealousy, lies, hardship etc. let it pass my friend. And not by your own will but let it be according to God’s will. No matter how painful it may be let it pass by God’s will.

 

You’re will is always easier but God’s will needs endurance. So let the cup pass according to His will...

There is nothing more dangerous than being in the comfort zone.

1 Corinthians 10:12 KJV
Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

Now the Word of God constantly reminds us that while we exist in this world we are in a constant battle against our flesh,  the worldly principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness, spiritual wickedness in high places etc. (Ephesians 6:12). So it is our duty not to be too comfortable but to always prepare ourselves for any kind of ammunition that is targeted at us (1 Peter5:8).

It is so easy for someone who has become too comfortable to lose notice of their own downfall (2 Samuel 12: 5-9). And even spiritually it is so easy for other spirits to take over someone who has become too comfortable. "1 John 4:6" Speaks about the SPIRIT OF ERROR that is where you start finding tweaked teachings or teachings that have gone soft on worldliness because people have become too comfortable forgetting now that they are pleasing other people more than the Almighty God.

Let us remember who we are, where we come from and where we are going in order to watch and stay sober.

1 Thessalonians 5:6 KJVI
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

DOMINION

Genesis 1:28 KJV
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have DOMINION over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

You can never have dominion over something when you don't even know it's source of origin. Listen the heavens and the earth were created by the Word of God. Therefore in order for you to have dominion over all things that move upon the earth you need to equip yourself with the Word of God because through the Word all things are created.

Through faith in the Word of God Abraham had dominion on earth to such an extent that his son Isaac was born when he was at the age of 100 (Genesis 17:17). Through faith in the Word of God David had dominion on earth to such an extent that he defeated so many Giants in his lifetime (2 Samuel 21:22). And lastly through faith in the Word of God Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed–nego had dominion on earth to such an extent that they were never burnt in the midst of the burning fiery furnace (Daniel 3: 23-24).

You can have the same dominion only if you choose to dwell in the Word of God because it is the Way,Truth and Life (Deut.  30:19)

DON’T LET YOU’RE EMOTIONS CONTROL YOU BECAUSE THE LORD THAT WE PRAISE IS BEYOND THEM.

1 John 3:20
For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
 
- 99% of the time it happens that what you're heart and your feelings are telling you is different from what God says. This is because the heart is very deceitful. Well God is greater than our hearts that is why our emotions shouldn't get the better of us because God is beyond them.
 
Exodus 7:13
And he hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said
 
- Do you know why Pharaoh's reign was destroyed? It was because of his hardened heart. We sometimes let our emotions control us in such a way that we end up destroying the things that we love. We end up destroying our families, friendships, relationships, marriages, work and etc.
 
Luke 22: 49-51
When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword? And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.
 
- When Peter lost it and his emotions got hold of him causing him to cut off the ear of the servant of the high priest (Mulches) while they were capturing Jesus; the Lord responds and says "Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?" (John 18:10). Avoid controlled by emotions and let the Holy Spirit do its work.  Remember (Psalms 121: 3) He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber.
