God’s Grace

Wasisiza uJehova wasenzela "umusa" (grace). Because God's grace doesn't have to do with anyone's wishes or situation but it is solely based on God's will. Mhlawumbe uma besinalenhlobo yomusa ohamba ngentando yabantu, ukwaziwa, noma i"position" mhlawumbe ngabe abanye bethu abawufumananga!

 

God's grace has nothing to do with qualifications, experience, a clan, backgrounds, riches, Dr's diagnoses or etc. but more to do with God's mercy which is sufficient (2 Cor. 12:9 My grace is sufficient for thee)  You might not be anything to some people but through God's grace you are something to Him! It needs no recommendation or referral but it is just plainly and simply a gift from God.

 

2 Corinthians 3:5,6

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;

 

Be it in times of darkness or light always know that "what God has given us no one can take away from us" – Grace!

If we were standing because of our own might we would have been defeated a long time ago but because He stood for us and represented us, we are where we are today. The reason why anyone who goes to court needs a laywer is that at that point in time you need a DEFENDER and a REPRESENTER someone who will stand on your behalf. Listen! During that time your lawyer as your representer understands as far as the court language that you wouldn’t understand on your own! Some people stood on their own and lost their cases because they thought they can do it alone (babhayiza!). Don't be shocked why there is so much happening during this time of the year where we should be celebrating the birth of Christ instead people forget and follow the world because during that time of the birth of Chirst we are aware that there are children who were killed "according to the time that Herod had ascertained from the wise men".

 

Be careful that the child Christ born in you Christ isn't killed during this time of the year! Some are killed through lies, envy, jealousy, etc. but we so many Christians lose the child Christ during this time of the year.

I'm bothered by this act of the enemy stopping or closing or even taking away something that you've worked so hard to mine. Let me tell you something the enemy is scared of your success and not only that but the enemy is scared of the strength that you receive from your source. It is even worse when you know that your source is Jehovah because no matter how many times the enemy fails because of his fear (satan) he won't stop until you give up.

 

Tell me who are you satisfying when you give up? Is it you? No! or God! Absolutely not but you will surely satisfy the enemy from that. Lempi akusiyo eyenyama (efesu 6:12)! What I love about Isaac the man of God didn't fight back but he knew that his place was in God. After digging up three more well's (Esek, Sitnah, Rehoboth) they still fought him but he never gave up. Why? Because no matter who tries to harm us whoever that is cannot harm Jehovah the God of hosts!

You can never go to the next grade until you've passed your current grade. Each grade has its own curriculum and everyone is required to pass that curriculum in order for them to progress to the next. Your life might feel like its rounding in circles and you're not progressing only to find out that there are still a lot of lessons that you haven't learned because every situation presents an opportunity for you to learn a lesson and pass it.

 

The children of Israel were rounding in circles in the wilderness for forty years just because they had to learn the hard way that the voice of God needs to be obeyed. Amazingly what took them 40 years to learn took 40 days for the King of kings Jesus Christ to learn who was in the very same environment (Matthew 4:1-11).

 

I always say if God has granted you the opportunity to wake up in the morning then that means you still have a chance to change your ways. USomandla uyalalelwa!!!

As much as the devil doesn’t get tired the mighty hand of the Lord also doesn’t get weary. Therefore we shouldn’t be found resting instead we should pray without ceasing (1 Thes 5:17).

 

I can only imagine the excitement of the children of Israel once they thought that once they went out of Egypt it was all over. Only to find out that it was only the beginning. When pharaoh pursued after them he knew that they were going to reach a dead end (the sea) but what he didn’t know was that the Lord that they served was a God who turns a dead end into a resurrected beginning.   

 

Maybe you’ve just come out of one problem only to find out that there’s another one waiting for you. I want to say to you it is not the end for you. No matter how much satan pursues but you serve the most high God the God of resurrection and His high hand never gets weary.

Zacharias was made dump because of his unbelief and as a result of that the child had to be born first before he could be allowed to say anything to anyone. Angithi uNkulunkulu wamzala umntwana uJesu Kristu emuntwini? If God was able to produce Christ from an ordinary human then it is evident that so many more miracles can be fulfilled by God in our lives in His season. The child Christ has to be born within you first before you can talk about or see the miracles of God and faith is the only way for Him to be born within you.

 

Nicodemus thought there was a certain formula or maybe a cash payment but to his surprise he was referred to the child being born again (John 3:3) in order to enter the kingdom of God. So if you are one of those who speak whilst not believing what you preach be careful! and again if you are one of those who speak before the child is born within you be careful! because it very dangerous to speak about the things that you do not know.

Productive love

God’s love for us achieved countless things and what I have learned from it is that we shouldn’t just end by saying we love each other but the love that we say we have for each other has to achieve. Uthando lwethu ludinga ukuzuza.

 

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

 

If our love is non-productive then where are we headed? Do you know that 10 years could pass without any achievements whilst someone is saying “I love you”? It’s similar to saying “our church is a great church” whilst we haven’t achieved much from it. 

 

God made flowers so that they could flourish and He created trees so that they can produce so we need to have actions that will achieve.

In the presence of the Lord

Exodus 34:30

And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.

 

During the course of liberating the children of Israel Moses followed most of God’s commands and performed so many miracles (Exo.4/7/8 etc.) however the only time we see him transforming is when he spent most of his time in the presence of the Lord (Exo.34:28).

 

Following most of God’s commandments didn’t transform Moses and neither did performing miracles but what transformed Moses was dwelling in the presence of the Lord (John 15:4). Bazalwane many of us can follow God’s law and many of us might perform miracles in His name but if we don’t dwell in His presence transformation is far from us. (2 Cor. 5:17)

Black jacks

Whenever you come out of any bush you normally have to pick off black jacks that are clinging on to you which are somehow proof that you were in the bush.

 

Through God’s grace we often come out of really tough situations in life but I’ve seen that most of us often forget to pick off the remainders of those tough situations and we don’t want to let go of them. If you don’t pick off the black jacks what happens? They prickle you. If you don’t pick off your past and you don’t want to let go of it, what will happen? It will haunt your present and future.

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord : looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.

There is a saying in isiZulu “icala livula ingubo lingene” which means “trouble always invites itself”. 

There are positions and circumstances in life that you have never imagined yourself in but you end up being dragged into them not by choice but by force.

 

Acts 12:5

Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

 

When I come up against such troubles I always remember that there is always a new lesson for me to learn and there is conquering that I will gain through Christ my saviour. I love God because He never leaves His position instead we are always quick to leave ours. Peter didn’t ask to be imprisoned but circumstances put him in prison. Through the unceasing prayer of the church the angel of the Lord came upon Peter. And even though Peter was in a time and place of darkness but the angel brought light into the prison cells.  

 

Acts 12:7

And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

 

What’s interesting is that the angel had to hit Peter in order to raise him up. There are things that have to strike you in your time of darkness in order for you to remember who you are. The Word of God is one of those things. Peter’s chains fell off not because someone untied him but because the angel of the Lord spoke the Word.

Every scripture that I remember where the apostles were begging the brethren’s to do something it was all done in the cause of fulfilling acts of faith in Jesus Christ. However most of our present day pastors are currently begging for nothing more than just church membership in order to fulfil congregational intents. And whether 90% of the congregation is still indulging in sin or not but the most important thing to our congregations is numbers and amusement.

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

 

You need to understand where you are in order for you to position yourself. Daniel understood his surrounding very well hence he was able to elevate into the chamber facing Jerusalem to pray before the Almighty God. Listen Jesus understood where He was that is why we find Him uttering these words (Mat.26:39 "My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.").

 

Let God reveal where you are in order for you to position yourself and no matter how hurtful that process is but it is better to know where you are instead of walking in blindness. God will reveal where you are and who's who in your life because not every place is for you and not everyone is by you. (Mat 7:21).

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

 

Regardless of when or how but fact is that the outward man will perish. So the main project should be on the inward man who has to be renewed day by day.

 

Even if you can go daily for botox; plastic surgery; make over; you can name it but if transformation through Christ hasn’t taken place in the inward man then there can be no rehabilitation (akukho ukulungisiswa) Acts 13:39.
